Where is The Amphitheater and how do I get there?

We are conveniently located 20 minutes north of Portland, Oregon, just off of I-5 at Exit 9. Click here to get a map of and direction to our venue.

What's the weather like at The Amphitheater for The Cure?

This is the Pacific Northwest, and the forecast is bound to change from one minute to the next. For updated weather information, check out the National Weather Service’s forecast.

Remember: Once that sun goes down, it can get a little chilly. We highly recommend that you bring along warmer clothing, no matter how hot it may have been during the day.

What type of services are available at The Amphitheater?

We have a variety of food and beverage options through our various concessionaires. Large restroom buildings are located in convenient locations on our outdoor plazas. In addition to available ATMs, concession stands also accept credit and debit cards.

If you plan to have a beverage of the malted or spirited variety during your visit, please remember that you must wear a wristband to purchase or consume alcohol. There are several wristbanding stations located throughout the venue where your ID will be checked and a wristband will be issued. And, as always, please drink in moderation.

Do you have to be of a certain age to attend a concert at the Amphitheater?

Concerts at the Amphitheater are open to all ages.

However, due to the possible nature of some acts, we advise that parents exercise discretion for younger attendees.

I have tickets at will-call, where is the box office located and what time can I pick up my tickets?

Our will-call box office is located just outside the main gates and will be open beginning at 10:00 AM on the day of show.

I purchased lawn seats. What happens if it rains?

The show will go on rain or shine, but this is the Pacific Northwest and we are always prepared for the wet stuff. So break out the Gore-tex before heading out.

Please remember, for everyone's safety and enjoyment, umbrellas should remain at home or in your vehicles.

If space is available, you can always stop up at the Ticket Office and purchase an upgrade to reserved seat inside the covered and dry Pavilion.

Also, for the enjoyment of all lawn patrons, only outside elevated lawn or beach chairs are allowed inside the venue if, while in their folded position, they are 28 inches or shorter. Seats, cushions, blankets, etc., that set directly onto the ground will be allowed inside. The Amphitheater does rent a uniform elevated chair for lawn patrons for a nominal fee at the merchandise kiosks.

When can I get into The Amphitheater?

Parking Lots open at 4:30 PM, and the outdoor plazas will open at 5:00 PM. However, initially, the seating area will be closed as the final preparations for a great show are being completed and will open at approximately 6:00 PM.

Where can I park and how much does it cost?

The Sunlight Supply Amphitheater has parking capacity for over 7,000 vehicles, and event ticketholders may park in the Amphitheater general parking lots for no charge.

The distance you would walk is dependent upon where you park in the general parking areas. The farthest parking areas are about a mile to the entrance of the seating area, and the closest, about a quarter of a mile. When you arrive onsite, you will be directed by parking staff where to park, which is determined by the volume of incoming traffic and the need to reduce the traffic queue at the time you arrive.

For closer parking and priority egress, we strongly recommend utilizing our YES Parking Program. Details can be found here.

Also please be aware that there are no offsite parking facilities nearby. However, C-TRAN runs a shuttle service for Sunlight Supply Amphitheater events from the Salmon Creek Park and Ride. C-TRAN service is scheduled to begin at 5:30 PM and will run until show time. Quick and hassle-free return service to Salmon Creek Park & Ride will begin immediately following the show. The round-trip cash fare is $2.00 per person and children six (6) and under are free. Please note, exact cash fare required. C-Tran drivers can not make change.

If you're planning on being dropped off, We STRONGLY recommend utilizing the Salmon Creek Park and Ride Shuttle. The nominal cost of the shuttle is worth avoiding the traffic hassles. Dropping off your party is not as bad as picking up your party as you will be moving with the flow of traffic, and the drop-off area is conveniently located in front of the Amphitheater Ticket Windows and Main Gates.

However, with picking up your party, you will be moving against the flow of a substantial amount of traffic, which will be given priority. In order to minimize the effects of traffic, we redirect all pick-ups, including taxi cabs and ride-sharing services, to the Salmon Creek Park and Ride. During egress, any party may ride the shuttle to the Salmon Creek Park and Ride, regardless of whether or not they rode it on the way in, and will have a much easier time catching their rides there.

However, if you insist upon coming to the venue to pick up your party, please be prepared to be routed away from the traffic pattern exiting the parking lots, and a significant wait to get to the designated pick-up area.

Taxis and ride share companies will be picking up at the Salmon Creek Park and Ride. Hop on a shuttle after the show and meet your ride there.

Can I tailgate in the parking lots before, during and after the concert?

Due to the respective Washington State Liquor Control Board, Clark County Fire Marshal and Clark County regulations, alcohol consumption, open flames and camping are not allowed in the parking lots.

Also our parking staff will be working to safely and efficiently park all arriving vehicles. It is important to keep lanes clear. For your safety and the safety of others, activity may not extend beyond your vehicle's immediate parking space, which makes any type of tailgating experience cramped, so please no tailgating.

However, we encourage you to head inside as soon as you arrive. There is plenty of room inside the venue to enjoy available food and beverage.

At the end of the event, as you wait to exit the parking lots, we appreciate your patience and understanding. We are working very diligently to get patrons home as quickly and safely as possible. However, sometimes, despite our best efforts, the only thing that can be done is to wait for the traffic congestion to dissipate. If waiting isn't for you, we strongly recommended using the YES Parking or the C-Tran shuttle.

Is smoking allowed at The Amphitheater?

For the enjoyment of all patrons, smoking is not allowed inside the seating area, including the lawn seating area. However, if you smoke, designated smoking areas have been set up for your use on each of our outdoor plazas.

May I bring my camera?

Small point-and-shoot camera are fine, but please leave your camera at home if it has a removable lenses.

What else may I bring inside The Amphitheater?

We recommend that you bring binoculars, blankets, soft seat cushions that set directly on the ground or seat, a coat or jacket and your ID.

For everyone's safety and comfort, please don't bring fireworks, outside food or drink, coolers, large bags (anything larger than an 8"x 11" sheet of paper), laser pointers, pets, weapons, umbrellas, strollers or playpens, skateboards or inline skates, or seats that elevated you off the ground. This is not intended to be an all-encompassing list, and we encourage to bring what you need to enjoy yourself just so long as it does not impinge on the safety and enjoyment of others.

Can I camp overnight at the Sunlight Supply Amphitheater before an event?

Unfortunately there is no overnight camping on Amphitheater grounds. However, local off-site camping is available.

I want to show my love for my favorite artist with a sign. Can I bring it inside with me?

Feel free to bring hand held signs and show your favorite artist that you are a fan. We ask that signs are not mounted on a stick and must be held by one person. Signs can be no larger than 11" x 17" in order that the views of others are not blocked.

I cannot see the concert. People are standing up and dancing in front of me. How can they be stopped?

We have a majority rule for sections. If the majority of the section is standing, then we allow standing; if there are only a few and they are interfering with the view of others behind them, then we ask them to sit. Each situation is handled on an individual basis. Standing on seats, rails or other structures is never permitted under any circumstances.

Can I scalp tickets on Sunlight Supply Amphitheater property?

Selling tickets to other people is strictly prohibited on Sunlight Supply Amphitheater property. Individuals selling tickets must do so off the property. We do not guarantee nor do we refund the money of anyone who purchases tickets from scalpers. If you purchase a ticket and it reads "Stop" or "Stolen" on our scanners then you will be denied access to the building and you will be escorted from the property. Those selling stolen tickets will be arrested.

If I have a concealed weapons permit, may I bring a weapon into The Amphitheater?

All weapons (handguns, etc.) will not be permitted on our premises, even if you have a concealed weapons permit or are an active off-duty law enforcement official.
